Dear Dr. B:My boyfriend and I have been together for only 3 months, but I'm already running into a problem.
Basically, he is considered quite good looking, and despite being very trustworthy and kind towards me, I can't help feeling a bit threatened by other girls.
There is a girl (let's call her Amy) he liked two years ago, but she rejected him. Annoyingly, Amy flirts with him a lot and still seems to be pretty prominent in his life - she's on his facebook profile photo (I'm not ) and he mentions her every once in a while (not very frequently, but still) for no apparent reason.
So shall I talk to him about Amy, or would that make me start sounding insecure? Is he acting inappropriately by being so close to someone who rejected him in the past?
